Natalie Ackermann, the president of Miss Universe Colombia 2023, disclosed the event’s venue via the pageant’s Instagram account. This year, the competition is scheduled for September 2nd in Barranquilla, specifically at the Puerta de Oro Convention Center.
The call for candidates to vie for the title of Miss Universe Colombia 2023 commenced in April, marked by the traditional sashing ceremony for the 24 contestants. Since then, they actively participated in various special awards to prepare for the coronation day.
Organizers have confirmed that, upon conclusion of the pageant, MarÃa Fernanda Aristizábal, Miss Universe Colombia 2022, representing the department of QuindÃo, will bestow the new winner with the crown.
Sophia Koepke, hailing from Barranquilla, currently holds the title of Miss Universe Atlántico. She notably secured the Miss Elegancia pageant award as well.
The preliminary competition is set for Friday, September 1st, also hosted at Puerta de Oro, while the main pageant itself will unfold on Saturday, September 2nd.

The winner will represent Colombia at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, which will take place in El Salvador. This will be the 72nd annual pageant to be held. One interesting detail of this year’s pageant is that the Miss Universe Organization will allow married women and women with children to compete for the first time in 66 years. So far, 30 contestants have been confirmed, with the rest being confirmed later this year. Pakistan will make their debut at this year’s pageant.
