The Governor of Atlántico, Elsa Noguera, visited the Mercado Sazón Atlántico construction site to supervise the progress and highlighted that it will be ready by the end of this year.
The residents of Atlántico and visitors will also be able to enjoy the crafts of Atlántico every day at the Mercado Sazón Atlántico (or the Atlantic Flavor Market).
The Malecón del Mar tourist complex is composed of the new plaza, the restored pier, the International Gastronomic Center, the Sazón Atlántico Market, the renovation of Miramar beach, and the environmental recovery of the mangroves.
The Governor emphasized that the construction is advancing in an area of 5,000 square meters, with an architecture open to the sea, and at this pace, the project will be completed by the end of the year.
“In this new space that we are building for you, our Sazón Atlántico gastronomic festivals will be present all year round. The ‘arepa de huevo’ from Luruaco, the ‘pastel de Pital de Megua’, the guava sweet from Palmar, the ‘chicharrones’ from Salgar and Baranoa, the ‘bollos’ from Ponedera, and the ‘butifarra’ from Soledad will all be within everyone’s reach, facing the sea. Residents and tourists will also be able to enjoy the crafts sold by Atlántico artisans every day of the year. We are working hard to ensure the project’s completion by December of this year,” said the Governor.
