On August 12th, the Gran Malecón in Barranquilla will witness the sixth annual Timeless Festival. It’s considered one of the most significant events in alternative music, organized by young people from Barranquilla who are committed to the emerging bands of the city.
Saturday’s event will take place at the Polideportivo del Pabellón de Cristal, and the public can access the venue from noon until 2 a.m. on Sunday the 13th. Live music will commence at three in the afternoon, and attendees can also enjoy the cuisine.
Miguel Urina and Kike Vélez, members of ‘MNKYBSNSS’, are the official organizers of the Timeless Festival held yearly in Barranquilla.
Timeless started in 2017, and since then, the event held in-person editions in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, they adapted to the pandemic by hosting a virtual event, and in 2021, they introduced Timeless Warehouse, a version with a stronger emphasis on the party atmosphere.
Aterciopelados will take the stage, marking their return to Barranquilla after an absence of 8 years. Furthermore, the lineup will showcase three of the nation’s foremost electronic bands – MNKYBSNSS, commemorating their 10th anniversary – alongside two international acts: Rubytates from Mexico and Carlos Méndez from Panama.
Fans of Spanish rock, electronic music, and pop can enjoy the sounds of Mitú, Julio Victoria, Doris Vespa, Trastocando, Biosatélite, The Satanic Majesties Request, Antropófagos, Gabind Notell, and Diego Mejía.
How can I buy tickets?
You can acquire tickets through passline.com or on social media @festivaltimeless, where you can buy either General or VIP entry tickets. The expected attendance is approximately three thousand people. You must be 18 years or older to attend.
