The Carnaval de Barranquilla, one of the most anticipated and vibrant events in the country, has announced its 2025 carnival queen. Tatiana Angulo Fernández de Castro has been chosen to receive the crown from Melissa Cure Villa, the 2024 Carnival Queen. Tatiana will lead the next year’s festivities.
The new 2025 carnaval queen is a 24-year-old architect and a member of the Fernández de Castro dynasty. Her family has had a prominent presence in the Carnival, with queens like her grandmother Lucía (1965), her aunt Maribel (1987), and her cousin Cristina (2015). She is also a member of the collective dance group ‘Los Gorilas.’
Mayor Alejandro Char delivered the news to her. As the new queen, she becomes the fourth member of the Fernández de Castro dynasty to hold this title.
The 2025 carnival will take place from March 1st to the 4th. Palco tickets go on sale on August 15, 2024.
